Hello, Beauties! My name is Ieshia Stafford, and I am the creator and owner of Beauty Language LLC.

I began playing in hair at a very young age. I first learned the art of cosmetics from watching my aunt. I remember getting in trouble for sneaking “perm” (relaxer) and putting it on my Barbie’s hair. Soon after, my sister got into weave and braiding her own hair. She taught me how to braid so I could fix the parts of her hair that she couldn’t see.

I started braiding hair for actual clients in the seventh grade. You know, the typical story, braiding around the neighborhood. Word about my talent started to rumor, and before I knew it, I had gigs from different schools, then adults.

I took my first cosmetology course during my freshman year. My instructor, Mrs. Dewberry, was very talented and an even better teacher. She was passionate about cosmetology, and that rubbed off on me. Every time we touched a client, we’d start with the basics of health, provide comfort, and an experience the client would remember. Her teachings set me aside from competitors today.

As I grew in myself and my field, I noticed that I am different, and I do offer a certain experience to my clients. It was time to brand myself. I played around with a couple of names. Beauty Language stuck with me because it’s more than a building or a place to visit. It is an experience and a lifestyle that my clients take with them when they leave me.

Beauty Language is built on all things beautiful; everything that makes us beautiful. I believe that beauty doesn’t start at the surface. I am here to groom the exterior of who we are, but I also promote inner growth, well-being, love, and peace. My clients are beautiful inside and out. I hope that we all practice to employ the things that make us beautiful, spread that beauty throughout our personal journeys, and be an example of love and goodness, while we can. It’s a language that we can all understand. It’s BeautyLanguage.
